The 2016 Cabernet Sauvignon Casey's
Lakeview Vineyard shows more of a dark, black fruit profile that matches quite
well with the wine's unctuous, rich feel. Black cherry, plum, menthol,
earthiness, lavender and licorice all meld together in a big wine that shows
all the muscle that is typical of Calistoga Cabernets. Ripeness is totally
pushed to the edge in this full-throttle Cabernet from Heritage School and
winemaker Thomas Rivers Brown.
